Days at HSBC has come to an end after 8 months.Many has been learned and shared. Still remember my first day reporting to work was like first day of school being foreign to the new land.But it turns out to be fine thanks to my buddy(i won't sombong!) and team member(first lunch steam fish) right after 8 months i've already assimilated in(constanly Sametiming).With the frequent outing (the karaoke session) everyone gets to know each other fast and then even work became fun most of the time and each of them being funny at their own way(monkey in the house).Seems that i will be missing working with them and my sunset awesome view spot but its stuffy at times(everyday to be exact).As i parted ways is to pursue doing what interest me and hope everyone will do the same as well.

Lastly i would like to thank guys and gals,you know who you're!

Suppose to be heading up to the north which is Bangkok riding the Tut Tut ,eating Pat Thai,chilling out at the bar but a good plan went down the drain when all out of the sudden in 50 years, Bangkok has it worst flood ever submerging everything around it.

So..we come out with another plan which is Singapore.Since everyone haven't been there and the last time i visited the city dated back to primary school days even Haw Par Villa cease to exist anymore.

It frighten me when i saw this at the MRT station.MRT are so convenient i wish our LRT was like this..

I didn't know Merlion was so big until now.Background is the Marina SANDS which is massive but i'm disappointed with its toilet.

Maybe i expect too much i think Movie World Gold Coast are much better

The last thrill ride i took was Superman Escape so this is a bit slow but the loop are good.

I walked from left of the picture till the right,i've strong legs!

I didn't expect much from SG food but this is worth describing.SG version of Bak Kut Teh but its called Pork Ribs Soup which is pepperish based soup. p/s the bowl says its halal.

This is indeed a shopping heaven with a number of shopping complexes at every direction and junction.So much to buy but so less to spend sigh.

Can't runaway from McDonalds where ever i go.McWings are good but the chili sauce taste weird.

Ion,the only shopping complexes that i ever visit that all the toilet is close because of technical issue which i almost wet my pants.Anyway the shopping complexes are very well organized.

City is clean everyone is rushing even the escalator and the taxi meter too.

Haji Street is similar to Jonker Street but filled with interesting shops and people.

Massive L.V store at Marina Bay,sandal cost rm1500.

Manage to catch Lion King last show on the last day worth every dollar spent thou the hall are a bit stuffy.

This bag of popcorn cost SGD22 and it end up in the thrash.

First time that i pray at a Kuil anyway i don't mind the extra protection and blessing.

Its been a while since my last post,so what have change.Well i stop traveling to Vietnam for work and changed job and finally i bought a Mac.Still adapting to the new working environment(task) which i find it quite hard to fit in.

Back KL from the last trip was full of trips and falls on Hari Raya. Went to mr Calvin's house for ketupat and rendang the moment i touch down thanks for the ride back home too.When mr Calvin is around it will be a busy period with all the outings and catching up.

Part 1

1 Day Trip to iPoh.

Journey started off early in the morning at 6am cause need to park my car some place to be pick up.Rush down to iPoh for dim sum breakfast.

Dim sum at Yoke Fook Moon,pack with people during public holiday especially those KL and Selangor people!

Overprice Egg tart at some coffee shop.

Salty Chicky outsold KFC chicken.

Funny Mountain Soya with Drive-thru and the bean curd is awesome smooth

This biscuit shop full of tension with its biscuit sold out at 11am.

3 days trip to Penang with Dim Sum stop at iPoh.I know i've been visiting Penang quite frequent this year alone 3 times but we have a guide Yong Jun from Butterworth this time so it will be a lil' different.

Ming Court Dim Sum for this round.Taste good with all the lil dim sum(compare to Foh San is like McEgg and Big Mac)

Mount Kinabalu is not as easy as i thought and with the last minute training.I struggle during the climb due to lack of training which usually require at least a month but i only started training 1 week plus before the climb.

The expedition are 3 days on top of the mountain and the trail is as follow according to the map below by Amazing Borneo Tours.

There're 2 routes that head up to the peak which are via Mersilau and Timpohan Gate.Both of this route still end up at the intersection at Layang-Layang Hut.The difference between this 2 trail is that the Mersilau way is an additional 2km which make up to 6km of the total while the Timpohan way only 4km but with most of trail make up of steep stairs.

We took the Mersilau route up and Timpohan Gate for the descend.

So the ascent from Mersilau to Layang-Layang Hut was still manageable with the uphill and downhill.

One of the many hut scatter throughout the route which provide climber drinking water, toilet and shelter.

Most of the time our aim is to reach to this signboard which is place at every 0.5km but getting to this sign is so difficult even its just 0.5km apart!

From the Layang-Layang Hut onward things get a little hard.It rains when i reached there furthermore the path was steep and rocky all the way to Laban Rata Resthouse.The journey from Mersilau to Laban Rata took...

After 7hrs of hike i want my food and rest badly!

Lodge at Laban Rata for dinner and break then only to know that this was not the resthouse that we will be staying.Its actually Gunting Lagadan(no photo) which is another 150m hike...

The part that everyone has been prepared for, final hike to the summit.Went to bed earlier and the hike starts at 2am.The distance from Laban Rata to the summit is 2.7km which seems to be near but it took me 5-6hrs to reach the summit my bad for ignoring the training.

I didn't have any photo taken during the ascent to the summit because it was pitch dark.From 6.0km to 6.5km was still manageable but starting from 6.5km onwards it gets tougher.With the high altitude, air are so thin that i need to stop every 10 steps.At 7.5km untill the summit the gradient of the climb is around 50-60 degree and believe me 200m feels forever.

The summit was small thou which only fit 4-5 people at a time so everyone took their turns taking picture with 2 aluminum signboard

Now the descent,remember the 50-60 degree gradient which is scary when you can see the other way.Look at the signboard below.

There's nothing wrong with the board just that you need to tilt your monitor.

This was like vertical limit.(the man in red was our guide Ah Tung,he runs up and down like spiderman and as fast as superman)

i'am impressed with those porter because they carry 40-50kg at least up the hill like as if it was a handbag and they climb faster than us only with our 2-3kg loads.

Mius Balinting is one of the many porter that provide their super strength service to the mountain.This fella runs 12km from his house to purchase a packet of salt for his wife and runs 12km back.The climbathon is 21km run up and down not 1 way.We took a total of 18hours to reach the top and down,these guys took 2hrs 40m!

Going for round 2?how about i wait you guys at the beach?

Hong Kong was the most exciting trip ever that i've been looking forward to. Spending around 8 days for this trip that covers Shenzhen and Macau 1-2 days each.

The things i miss the most about Hong Kong is the FOOD,seriously its a food Heaven almost every corner of the city you can find food and most of it is good but then we try to hunt for the best among the best.

Turn out our trip to be a bit rush that according to my friend as if we not coming back to Hong Kong anymore. Start most of our day around 8 am and ends at 1-2 am everyday is like we're in a race. Try to cover as many place as possible and stuff in as many food as possible but think of it ,we didn't had enough!

So this post will be short and simple.

Finally a chance to explorer and find out how big was this West Lake(Ho Tay Lake) really is.

Journey started around 12-noon(winter! heat isn't an issue) by bicycle with 2 of my colleague.

-Starting point was at my hotel to the first pit stop for brunch.

-Spend about 1.5 hours at the first pit stop before departing.

-Stop a little on the way for some picture

-On pit stop no.2 had some light drink and rest the hardworking leg!

-Finish the whole West Lake around 545pm

-Head to pit stop no.3 which is Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum and spend an hour shooting and resting.

-Had dinner at pit stop no.4,pork ribs the best to this day!

-Back to the shop to return the bikes and walk back to hotel,9pm!

-My legs!!

-Total journey +-25 km!

Went for a day trip to Perfume Pagoda on the last weekend.It took 2hr of bus ride,1hr of boat ride and 2hr of hike to get there.I got myself charred and touches a few suppose to cleanse all the problem stone,end up(absorbing every problem on the stone) the next day everything went upside down. Its been a while since the last post.

So i'll start with last month.

Got sent to Ho Chi Minh City on last working trip to support the users and i was mainly sitting 'chionging' my Restaurant City to maximum level.It have been a while since i last step foot on that city(HCM) which i felt few times more alive than Hanoi the Ulu. Went all out savoring all food that i missed especially the barbeque live prawns!Coincidently the second week was a holiday week so we plan a trip to Nha Trang which worth the 10 hours bus journey.

Heard that the project gonna end soon but still no word on when i'll be back to KL for good yet since the client still not settling the bill and i will need to stay for the phase 2 which is i don't know when it will kick off. I'll guess it will be another 4-6 month at least. Workload have been slow lately doing just minor fixes and of course extreme facebooking comparing to last year where at least 14-16 hours of working daily!.With the recent H1N1 scared and with me going back and forth from the airport really inevitable. Furthermore i will be flying over to Brisbane end of this month and Australia has been the worse hit with over 1000 cases and of course WHO declare level 6 which is a Pandemic. Don't know whether its still viable to visit that badly infected country.
